The Ojai Foundation offers Rites of Passage Threshold Retreats, partnering with schools to develop and implement 2-5 day experiences for youth. ROP marks transitions in the lives of these young people, and offers a container for their personal, social, and spiritual maturation and growth.
Our programs are rooted in the practice of Council, a form of heart-centered dialogue that emphasizes speaking authentically and listening with care and attention. Our Retreats weave ceremony, hikes, solo time in nature, art, music, and Council to provide for the container of transformative experience.
The Foundation’s retreats take place on its Land Sanctuary, a 40-acre property located in Ojai, CA, or, for larger groups, in off-site wilderness or semi-wilderness settings.
