Rites of Passage – Mentoring the Future Film & Toolkits

Warrior Films, working in parallel with Youth Passageways and others as part of a growing social movement focused on youth initiation, has launched an initiative called “Rites of Passage – Mentoring the Future.”  This work includes a short film that depicts both the perils of not supporting youth with meaningful transitions to adulthood and samples of the beautiful work happening all over the world to bring them into reality.  

In addition, six toolkits for parents, educators, mental health professionals, youth based organizations & faith based communities were produced in tandem with the film. Each toolkit is specifically designed to provide points of entry into basic conversations, essential background information for delving deeper into key concepts, practicums for dynamic application, and external resources for ongoing support.  Warrior Films is providing the film and all the toolkits free of charge due to the urgency of the need.  If you want to thank them with a donation or simply sign up to receive updated reports about their work – like Frederick Marx’s recent talk on youth rites of passage at Google – you can do so HERE.
